Petri has 30+ years of direct CIO experience from 2 of largest pension funds in Finland and a Sovereign Wealth Fund in Middle East. During last 15 years he has been a serial entrepreneur/investor within financial services having launched and sold timberland and ESG/Impact biased asset management businesses as well as invested in fintech and real estate. He has also consulted institutional investors on investment strategy. On forestry Petri has been first chairman of Tornator, co-founder of Dasos Timberland fund, and owner of Estonian timberland Fund. He owns several chainsaws which are in active use. Recently he co-founded Impact Innovation Institute, a for-benefit research and advisory think tank on Impact Investing and Sustainable Finance. The Institute has also coined Sustainable Portfolio Theory, a needed extension to Modern Portfolio Theory and Strategic Asset Allocation thinking.
