Matt has worked in private sector forestry and forest carbon projects since 2008. Matt is the Founder and a Director of GSI. GSI leverages machine learning to integrate lidar, ground data and remote sensing imagery. Matt originated the company’s 2016 patent, which the company continues to develop. GSI has forest carbon market exposure primarily with Improved Forest Management in N America. GSI focuses on Private Industrial Forest Owners, Managers and Investors in the US market. Their work concentrates on cost-effective geospatial intel for enhanced forest inventory, strategic timberland acquisitions, forest carbon project origination, and timberland supply basin analytics. Matt has a PhD in Geography, LLM in Environmental Law and MSc in Conservation Ecology.
