Purcell has more than 15 years’ experience in the public and private sectors leading global sustainability initiatives for multi-national corporations and the United Nations. Patricia is currently Senior Adviser to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)’s Nature, Climate and Energy portfolio, which supports over 800 projects across 140 countries in partnership with the Global Environment Facility (GEF), Green Climate Fund and Adaptation Fund, among others. Prior to joining UNDP, Patricia was the Co-founder and Chair of the OECD Expert Group on Investing in the SDGs and served as the Senior Strategic Advisor and Head of Partnerships to the UN Global Compact in New York. Previously, Patricia served as the Senior Adviser to the UN Under Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN-Habitat, based in their Nairobi headquarters.
