Darius is a Principal at SLM Partners based in London and leads our forestry investment work in Europe. He has overall responsibility for the SLM Silva Fund in Ireland, the development of new forestry strategies in Europe, and all matters related to forest carbon offsets. Prior to joining SLM Partners, Darius co-led an award-winning $200 million Asian forestry fund for New Forests ($6bn AUM) and worked as a consultant on land investment strategies. His consultancy projects included the design and launch of the &Green Fund for IDH backed by the Norwegian government; the development of an African forestry investment fund concept for TNC; and advisory roles with the World Bank's Forestry Investment Programme (FIP), the African Development Bank, and a number of private equity funds. He has also worked as a forestry advisor to WWF and lead auditor at SGS's FSC certification programme. He has an MA in Natural Sciences (Cambridge), an MSc in Forestry (Oxford) and an MBA (Melbourne).
