Carbon Quester

Tim Field founded Carbon Quester with the Rothamsted Research Institute in 2020 to develop an affordable, accurate soil carbon testing and modelling methodology. By applying Rothamsted's world-leading soil science and carbon sequestration research, Carbon Quester aims to offer the UKs most trusted analysis of soil carbon. From his home in Oxfordshire, Tim facilitates the new Farmer Cluster in the North East Cotswolds, which includes 82,500 acres across 100 farms and estates. In 2014 Tim founded the Agricology project, a knowledge exchange platform to disseminate best practice and research on practical, sustainable farming. He has previously held positions as Head of Sustainability at Daylesford Organic, as non-exec director on the Organic Trade Board, and has advised on the Sustainable Food Trust’s Global Farm Metric project. With a background in environmental sciences and rural surveying, Tim has twenty years of experience in environmental management of farms, property, and throughout the food supply chain.
