Julie Greene is Chief Sustainability Officer at Olam Agri, a leading agri-business in grains, cotton, rubber, edible oils, and other staple commodities. Guided by its purpose to transform food, feed and fibre for a more sustainable future, Olam Agri is focused on making a positive impact on Climate, Nature and Livelihoods.
With a career spanning 20 years across Africa and Asia, Julie champions responsible private sector development as a means to socio-economic progress. She has worked around the globe on diverse projects, from managing Olam Agri’s cotton business in Côte d’Ivoire to spearheading global initiatives for livelihoods, food security, regenerative agriculture and sustainable supply chains. She got her start in transformative social and community development initiatives in Sierra Leone, including rural development projects with German development cooperation GIZ and relief programmes at the International Rescue Committee. Julie also serves as Chair of the African Cotton Foundation. She resides in Singapore.
