Aaron Minnick

Aaron is the Manager for TerraMatch at WRI’s Global Restoration Initiative (GRI). He leads strategic partnerships to ensure that local project developers have the resources they need to restore their land at scale. He also leads WRI’s engagement with Mastercard’s Priceless Planet Coalition. Aaron formerly lead WRI’s restoration work in Kenya where he worked with local stakeholders to identify and map the country’s restoration opportunities to inform a national commitment to AFR100 and the Bonn Challenge. Prior to joining WRI, Aaron worked on a trail crew, designing, building, and maintaining hiking trails in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. He holds a master’s degree in environmental sciences and policy, with a concentration in environmental management from Johns Hopkins University, and a bachelor’s degree in international business administration from The College of New Jersey, with a minor in Spanish.
