Dr Denise McCorry is a Principal Biodiversity Scientist at Woodside Energy, based in Perth, Western Australia. Denise has a background in tropical marine science and conservation management based in southeast Asia. She joined Woodside 11 years ago after working as an environmental consultant at ERM (in Hong Kong and Australia). Providing her with strong working experience in industry-led environmental impact assessment and compliance in upstream Oil and Gas. Denise then went on to manage the environmental science partnership program at Woodside and more recently, Denise now leads the international biodiversity positive program. This program is driven by Woodside’s external Environment & Biodiversity Policy and the journey has commenced to support biodiversity positive outcomes in the regions and areas in which Woodside undertake activities.
