Sandeep Roy Choudhury is the Co-Founder and CEO of Value Network Ventures, a leading global project developer mobilizing carbon finance to drive community-rooted climate adaptation at scale. Under his leadership, VNV mobilizes markets to drive high-integrity, community-powered climate action at scale - reaching over 7 million households and restoring more than 1 million hectares across 15+ countries.
As a trusted partner to governments, Fortune 500 companies, and climate investors, Sandeep has positioned VNV at the forefront of nature-based, equitable carbon removal solutions. VNV operates a diverse portfolio of high-impact carbon programs - spanning coastal restoration, regenerative agriculture, social forestry, rural energy access, and waste management. With over 20 years of experience in climate finance, he advises public and private sector stakeholders on numerous aspects of decarbonization, value chain-based interventions, and climate adaptation at scale.
Beyond VNV, Sandeep has co-founded several pioneering ventures, including the Carbon Initiative Forum - a nonprofit advancing youth-led climate policy awareness - and Mangroves.Now, a blue carbon revolving fund accelerating investment in coastal ecosystems.
He is playing an instrumental role in the development of The Silk Road Project, a landmark rangeland restoration initiative in Central Asia, and a newly launched Climate Impact Fund focused on scaling climate tech and adaptation startups. His other ventures - Sustainext, Spring Health Water (India) Pvt. Ltd., Renergii, and Bôndy Africa - focus on systemic solutions to environmental and socio-economic challenges.
Sandeep serves on several prominent boards and advisory bodies, including the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BBF), Planting on Demand (POD), and the Environmental Protection Centre (EPC). He also serves on the Executive Board of CEGET (Center for Governance, Ethics, and Transparency) under the UN Global Compact and is a member of the expert advisory groups for both the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI) and the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM).
