Bryna Griffin is the Head of Forests Programme at BirdLife International, where she oversees a global strategy with over 50 Partner organizations working to conserve and restore tropical forests. Bryna has particular expertise in the design, management and sustainable financing of protected and conserved areas. From 2009-2015, based in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and Serengeti, Tanzania, Bryna managed multi-million dollar programmes to rehabilitate national parks, develop new community-based reserves, and establish regional conservation action plans. Previously, she administered a grant portfolio for Conservation International’s Global Conservation Fund. Bryna holds an MSc in Environmental Studies from Florida International University, Miami, and a BSc in Natural Resource Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
