Heather D’Agnes is the Regional Director for Southeast Asia-Pacific at the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), anchored in Singapore and overseeing conservation programs in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, and Fiji. WCS is a US non-profit organization established in 1895 that saves wildlife and wild places by taking conservation actions that benefit nature and humanity. Since the 1960s, WCS has advanced science and conservation across Southeast Asia-Pacific, a region of remarkable natural and cultural wealth – from vast tropical forests to the Coral Triangle’s vibrant marine ecosystems —and home to Indigenous communities whose traditions and knowledge remain vital to the future of these ecosystems.
