Sundar is a business leader with three decades of global experience spanning multiple industries and geographies.
He is now CEO and Co-founder of TERRAGRN (pronounced “Terra Green”), one of the largest private-sector nature-based solutions businesses addressing climate change, gender equality, food security and socio-economic development in Africa. As its CEO, Sundar guides the company in its vision, strategy, stakeholder engagement, capital raising, and plan execution. Sundar invests considerable time in championing climate actions and TERRAGRN’s nature-based solution with policy makers in Government, and public and private financial institutions. Prior to co-founding TERRAGRN in 2021, Sundar was successful in creating a multi-million-dollar business for Firstwave Cloud (ASX: FCT), an Australian cybersecurity platform provider, in fifteen regional markets around the world including India, Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the UK.
In the preceding years from 2015 to 2018, as Managing Director, Sundar developed a multi-million-dollar business for Afiniti Inc. (a Unicorn in the Artificial Intelligence industry) in Europe.
Prior to Afiniti, Sundar was successful in transforming and commercializing several sales and service businesses in his 9-years of leadership roles at Vodafone Group. During this phase, for a 2-year period, Sundar was the Commercial Director for the UK Enterprise Business (GBP 1.7 billion P&L) and oversaw the post-acquisition integration of the commercial functions of Cable & Wireless Worldwide.
Earlier in his career, Sundar also served for seven years as a senior member of the Corporate Strategy team at Andersen Consulting and Accenture in London.
Sundar received his MBA from the London Business School and a graduate degree in Electronics and Power Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in India. Sundar also completed a senior executive education in Corporate Governance from The Wharton School.
Sundar is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (The RSA). Sundar lives in London with his wife and two children, and enjoys cricket, cycling and tennis.
