Rebecca joined the TNFD Secretariat in September 2025, as Senior Technical Manager for measurement, metrics and the ocean. She joins on secondment from the climate and nature consultancy Systemiq. Rebecca has extensive experience at the interface of science and policy: she worked on Systemiq’s long-standing partnership programme with the UN Environment Programme’s International Resource Panel, supporting development of the Global Resources Outlook 2024 and shaping strategies to translate complex science into actionable insights for international policy forums. She previously worked in the UK civil service: both in the Government Office for Science, and as a Scientific Advisor to the UK Treasury’s Dasgupta Review on the Economics of Biodiversity, authoring content and supporting stakeholder engagement for this landmark report. Rebecca holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a BA in Biological Sciences from Oxford.
