Miriam is Head of Carbon Development at The Green Branch, a Dutch start-up developing high-impact nature-based solutions. The Green Branch follows a boots-on-the-ground approach to build holistic project designs, including local operational partners, communities and organizations to set up and scale impactful carbon projects. The Green Branch’s goal is to bring optimal environmental, social and economic returns to all stakeholders.

Miriam is working on technical project development and manages the certification process of the carbon projects, with a focus on Verra’s VCS and CCB standards. During her studies in Environmental Sciences (BSc) and Sustainable Business and Innovation (MSc), she focused on future-proof alternatives to commercial forest management in Europe and Latin America.
