Kyoo-Won Oh is a Senior Underwriter at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group.

Oh joined MIGA in 2010 after working at the World Bank as a Financial Sector Specialist.

In his current position, Oh is responsible for leading the underwriting process as well as business development. He has significant experience underwriting climate finance projects in the forestry, agribusiness, service, and manufacturing sectors in countries like Laos, Myanmar, St. Lucia, Türkiye, Kenya, and Rwanda. He is currently leading discussions with various investors for carbon credit projects in multiple countries.

Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Oh held several positions in the Export-Import Bank of Korea, including on project finance, trade finance, debt capital markets, and strategic management teams.

Oh holds a bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University and an MA from the University of California at Davis.
