James is the Partnership Lead for Sustainability at Barry Callebaut. He is passionate about building sustainability projects that have a clear path to be integrated into business as usual. He works across the three sustainability pillars of BC, poverty reduction, child labour and child rights, and forest and carbon. He supports the pillar leads to find the right partners to execute the ideas and create a business case for the projects. Previously, James led the Innovative Finance team at IDH where he led multiple transactions that were world firsts. The transactions brought together Agribusinesses, commercial and development banks, and NGO's to provide smallholder farmers with access to the products and services on credit as needed to invest in their farms and livelihoods.
