Sujeevan Ratnasingham is the Chief Technology Officer at Map of Life, where he leads the development of global biodiversity data infrastructure to support conservation and environmental decision-making. He is a pioneer in advancing DNA-based methods for species identification and their integration into large-scale biodiversity monitoring.

He is the architect behind several platforms and analytical frameworks that enable the use of DNA to track biodiversity change. His work has played a key role in the global adoption of genomic tools for biosurveillance and biodiversity policy. He previously served as Director of Informatics at the Centre for Biodiversity Genomics and as Chief Information Officer of the International Barcode of Life Consortium.
