Warren is an Investment Officer at FMO, the Dutch development bank. As a leading impact investor, FMO supports sustainable private sector growth in developing countries and emerging markets by investing in ambitious projects and entrepreneurs. FMO has been investing in emerging markets for over 50 years, and with a committed portfolio of over EUR 12 billion spanning over 85 countries, FMO is one of the larger bilateral private sector developments banks globally.

At FMO, Warren is responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of equity investments in the sustainable forestry and agribusiness sectors. By investing in these sectors, FMO aims to achieve not only attractive financial returns but also credible impacts on climate, community, and biodiversity. FMO has access to not only its own balance sheet capital but also various blended finance programs, including the Mobilising Finance for Forests (MFF) program established with the UK government to unlock private sector investment in projects that protect and restore tropical forests.

Prior to joining FMO, Warren worked in investment banking at Barclays Africa (2014-2018), covering natural resources and project finance, as well as an external auditor at EY (2009-2013). He has worked across multiple geographies including Sub-Saharan Africa, South America, Southeast Asia, and Australia.

Warren is a CFA Charterholder, and holds a BCom (Hons) from the University of South Africa, and a BCom in Accounting from the University of Kwazulu-Natal.
