Te Tuhi was Associate Professor and senior lecturer in Māori Education and Indigenous Studies until 2019. He is a director, trustee, and chair of several private and iwi (community) focused boards of governance within The Treaty of Waitangi* claims and mandated processes regulating land use, forestry, horticulture, and Māori Advancement and Development. Over the years Te Tuhi has held operational, management, and governance positions within government and non-government agencies. In his current role as educationalist / landowner / mentor / and consultant he continues to contribute his multi-faceted, experience-based skillset founded on Kaupapa Māori / Māori philosophy and practice in the areas of land development and community-based innovation. Te Tuhi holds a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education / Higher Education Administration from The University of Auckland.
