Ten years of international experience in forest management, certification and ecosystem services, with a focus on the tropics. In recent years, my scope of activities expanded into no deforestation and sustainable commodity supply chains. My background is in biology and natural resources management and I started my career at a forestry consultancy firm with the majority of projects in sub-Saharan Africa. With FSC International, I worked on measuring and demonstrating the positive impacts of responsible forest management on ecosystem services (carbon, biodiversity, water, soil, recreational services) to facilitate access to PES markets. As a freelance consultant, I work with various clients conducting desk studies, developing technical guidance documents, delivering training and offering technical support.
