Dr Paul Young is the CTO and co-founder of Kita, the carbon insurance specialist. Kita’s purpose is to accelerate investment in high-quality carbon sequestration projects with insurance products that reduce transaction risk and safeguard the performance of carbon credit investments. Paul holds a PhD in Cosmology and has twenty-seven years of experience in asset management, FinTech and data science. Before Kita, this included co-founding a hedge fund, oversight of multi-billion-dollar AI-driven investment portfolios and culminating with the co-founding of an AI-based fintech start-up that Nasdaq successfully acquired in 2017.
