Having spent most of her career working for large corporates in New Zealand, England and Australia, Helen transitioned into the not-for-profit space in 2023, taking on the role of Tai Urungi - Chief Executive at Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari, the world's largest predator fenced eco-sanctuary located in the heart of the mighty Waikato in New Zealand.

Helen’s focus is on building a bedrock of financial strength in a traditionally grant-funded, community-led organisation. To achieve this goal, the sanctuary team are focusing on lifting the visibility of the sanctuary to become internationally recognised and nationally cherished for its social and environmental outcomes.
