Since 2006, Gabriel has been a leader in the carbon forestry industry in Southeast Asia. He was a co-founder and CEO of Lestari Capital, the developer of innovative environmental finance platforms. He was also a co-founder and Managing Director of Forest Carbon, the designer and manager of the Sumatra Merang Peatland Project. Gabriel has extensive on-the-ground expertise across Southeast Asia, Central Africa and South America, where he has designed and developed nature-based carbon projects, created national approaches to REDD+, and worked with governments, private-sector initiatives and NGOs.
