Christopher serves as Vice President of Carbon Finance at Conservation International (CI) leading CI’s Natural Climate Solution carbon project development and implementation (2021-present). Christopher has more than 17 years of private and public-sector experience in carbon markets and climate finance. His career has focused on originating and structuring high-quality carbon market transactions across various project types and geographies. He worked on the carbon desk of Dutch energy trading firm Eneco during the height of the carbon market’s first wave (2008-2012). He then was a lead transaction manager at the Swedish Government’s climate program (2012-2021) and represented Sweden on various multilateral carbon funds including the World Bank’s Carbon Partnership Facility (CPF), the Transformative Carbon Action Facility (TCAF), and Carbon Initiative for Development (CI-Dev). He initiated some of Sweden’s first Internationally Transferable Mitigation Outcome (ITMO) trades under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. Christopher also served as Senior Advisor to the Swedish Foreign Ministry for the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
