With 17 years of experience in structuring green and blue products and developing debt financial strategies, Alexander has developed a wide expertise in the area of blue economy and biodiversity finance around the world. In his role as Managing Director at BwB, he is leading teams and activities across the globe, collaborating in transactions with several multilateral organizations (WB, UNDP, UNEP-FI, EIB), and designing innovative financial instruments to solve the climate and nature related problems and achieve nature positive and net zero targets. Alexander serves at UNEP as Senior Structuring Advisor Climate & Nature Finance. Alexander has been involved in blue economy and biodiversity finance supporting governments, corporates and financial institutions to enable investments into blue projects. Before his job at BwB, through his roles at Credit Suisse and Barclays, Alexander worked as product specialist for green investment products and strategies in capital markets.
