Mike Cerchiaro is Senior Vice President, Director of Investment Management at Forest Investment Associates (FIA), which manages nearly a million hectares of certified forests across the Americas. With over US $4.6 billion in AUM across separate accounts and commingled funds, FIA helped pioneer the forest investment asset class in 1986 and continues to deliver innovative solutions to global institutional investors.

With over 25 years of experience in operations, international investments, logistics, and transactions, Mike is a valuable member of FIA's Board of Directors and serves on the Executive, Investment, Risk Management, and ESG committees. His tenure at FIA includes building new business capabilities, such as monetizing ecosystem services, establishing a delivered wood sales company, launching FIA's international program, and overseeing the company's expansion of climate-smart forestry and nature-based solutions.

Mike holds a B.S. and M.S. in Forestry from Virginia Tech and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business. He serves on the Virginia Tech Department of Forestry Advisory Board and is a founding board member of the Robinson Council of Young Business Leaders. He is also a member of the Society of American Foresters, Soil Science Society of America, and other various forestry associations.
