As part of the leadership team within Green Belt, I am focussed on continuous innovation within the private forestry sector. Our core principles of sustainable forestry management have been a mainstay since our inception in 1982, and 600 million trees later, we still keep that ethos. More recently, I have overseen the development of biodiversity baseline projects, delivering real and tangible Nature Based Impact, in a local setting. This is supporting companies and businesses to meet their staff, clients and stakeholders demands for accountability and real action. We still carry on the 'day to day' - planting lands, management of forests and woodlands and timber harvesting. Green Belt invests on behalf of clients - private, institutional, corporate - and work closely with them to achieve their stated targets. I am always interested in new opportunities and potential collaboration and see a very long term future for private forestry, not only in Ireland but across the Globe.
