Juan Pablo joined FIA in 2015 and has more than 15 years of professional experience in international leadership roles. Based in Monterrey, Mexico, he leads FIA’s international investment programs and operations. This includes leading FIA’s international team, with offices in Brazil and Chile, on the efforts for new project identification, analysis and acquisition, as well as current portfolio operations, asset management and performance analytics, always with the objective of optimizing long-term value creation for FIA’s investors.

Before joining FIA, Juan Pablo was Vice President of Development at Grupo Topaz, a diversified Mexican private equity group with strategies in real estate, education and energy. He was responsible for the group’s real estate platform which included land acquisition, urban planning, real estate development and operations. Prior to Topaz, he worked for Global Forest Partners with full managerial responsibility for three timber funds with pine and eucalyptus assets in Uruguay and New Zealand.

Born in Monterrey, Mexico, he is a native Spanish speaker and has extensive business experience throughout South and North America, as well as Europe and the Middle East.
