Jacob Hietink is the co-founder of The Green Branch, a project developer focused on nature-based carbon removal projects, primarily in the Global South. He works across the full project development chain, from origination to full-scale management, bringing together land strategy, project structuring, finance, and carbon commercialization to move high-quality forestry and restoration projects into execution.

Through its development platform and stage-gated development approach, The Green Branch qualifies, structures, and manages projects in a disciplined way. Therefore improving capital efficiency, development quality, and transparency for investors, buyers, and local partners. The company currently has two operational projects in Brazil that are validated under Verra and is actively scaling its portfolio.
