Bryan McCann

Bryan is the Director of Supply at Climate Impact X (CIX). He has spent nearly a decade in carbon markets and international development, bringing together public and private actors to protect tropical forests and support sustainable development. Prior to CIX, Bryan helped launch the LEAF Coalition, the world’s largest public-private initiative to combat tropical deforestation. In his role as Vice President of Markets he worked with major companies to join the coalition, supported negotiations with host jurisdictions, developed the initial versions of the coalition’s fund distribution mechanism, and led LEAF’s communications strategy culminating in a major set of announcements at COP 26. He started his career at the leading management consultancy Oliver Wyman where he helped companies in financial services, aviation, and retail solve their business challenges. He has also spent time at the World Food Programme in Rome and One Acre Fund in Nairobi. Bryan has been featured in Carbon Pulse, multiple podcasts, with academic research published in the journal ODI Disasters.
