Tobias Dorenkamp acts as Vice President at DEG’s Global Climate Investments team and is tasked with building up a Natural Climate Solutions portfolio in emerging markets. Prior to setting up the new team in November 2021, Tobias has gained deep experience in structuring and investing equity in corporates and private equity funds primarily in Latin America (since 2012) and providing debt and mezzanine financing to forestry and agribusiness projects worldwide (since 2007). Tobias has a business administration formation and is based in DEG’s headquarter in Cologne, Germany.

As a member of the KFW Banking Group, DEG provides long term capital to private companies in emerging economies. DEG’s objective is to generate a positive development impact through its investments while generating a risk-adjusted, sustainable return on its invested capital.
