Shira is a Forest Carbon Manager at Nestlé supporting the implementation of Nestlé’s Global Reforestation Program. The Global Reforestation Program is part of Nestlé’s Net Zero Roadmap and Forest Positive Strategy and contributes to the reforestation and restoration of natural ecosystems in Nestlé’s supply chain and sourcing landscapes. Shira leverages over a decade of experience in driving investment towards community-centered projects, and has worked with farmers, corporates and international institutions to set up projects with robust environmental, social, and economic benefits. Prior to Nestlé, Shira led a team focused on driving corporate investment towards landscape level activities at PUR Projet, an Nature Based Solutions (NBS) carbon developer that designs, develops and monitors supply-chain linked NBS projects. Shira holds an MPA in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School, an MBA from INSEAD and a BS in Earth Systems Science from Stanford University.
