Injy is a Research Associate at Oxford Sustainable Finance Group leading their Net-Zero Aligned Offsetting program which undertakes novel research into the theory and practice of carbon and biodiversity offsetting. She is also an Enrolled Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and final stage PhD Candidate in International Environmental Law at Victoria University of Wellington. Injy has been a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School (2022) and Edinburgh Law School (2023). Prior to this, and as a Fulbright scholar she gained an LLM in Environmental and Energy Law at the University of Colorado-Boulder. She also holds an LLB with First Class Honours from Victoria University of Wellington and a BSc in Physical Geography and Economics from the University of Otago.

Injy has worked with and for a range of public, private and international entities across four continents, including Oxford Net-Zero, the Global Center on Adaptation, UNESCO, the UN MGCY and the New Zealand Government. Injy has maintained a keen interest in biodiversity conservation throughout her career and was Vice-Chair of the Endangered Species Foundation from 2018-2021.
