Gabriela Sánchez joined the Peruvian-Swiss social enterprise Choba Choba in 2021 as the Managing Director of its not-for-profit pillar, the Choba Choba Foundation.

Choba Choba believes that successful cocoa farmers can coexist with exceptional chocolate while safeguarding their ecosystems; a model where nature and agriculture are in harmony and mutually benefit one another. With this vision, farmers from the Peruvian Amazon co-founded an integrated value chain that includes a Peruvian cocoa cooperative and a Swiss chocolate company co-owned by the cocoa producers, and a Swiss foundation that aims to scale the impact by reaching more smallholder farmers and stakeholders in the sector.

Gabriela Sánchez has international cross-sectoral business and management experience in corporations, SMEs and start-ups (for profit and non-profit). She holds a Master of Science in business administration from the University of Münster in Germany.
