Alicia is the Senior Scientific Officer at Drax, where she leads the team that turns the latest science and evidence into sustainable policy and practice for biomass and carbon removals. Previously, she served as the Director of Science and Communications for the Geological Society of London, where she led the establishment of strategic science themes, including the Energy Transition, and built bridges between academia and industry. Previously, Alicia was a founding editor of Nature Geoscience, and obtained a PhD in the geosciences from the University of South Carolina.
