Robin has over 10 years’ professional experience working for international conservation NGOs, academic institutes, and environmental consultancies. His technical specialism focuses on incorporating local values and perspectives into social and biodiversity impact evaluations. His main geographic focus is Africa and Asia. Robin’s background is in protected area management, having spent three years working for BirdLife International in Cambodia, supporting the establishment of two protected areas and overseeing the training of enforcement, community engagement and biodiversity monitoring field teams. He has also supported conservation projects in Central Asia and assessed biodiversity impacts and mitigation strategies for palm oil plantations in Malaysian Borneo.
