Washington Director of Land Conservation
The Trust for Public Land

Richard is the Washington State Director of Land Conservation for The Trust for Public Land. He remembers looking at an outdoor recreation magazine when he was growing up and wondering where are these places with big trees, tumbling streams, crystal clear lakes and endless mountains? At 19 years old he flew to the Pacific Northwest and have been there ever since. He has a degree in business and completed a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Environmental Economics in the 1990s. He has worked for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and the King County (Seattle area) Land and Water Resources Group doing conservation real estate. He then spent more than nine years as a licensed Real Estate Broker working in the private sector.
