Adam leads AXA IM’s Natural Capital investment platform, deploying equity, debt and carbon offtake agreements to high impact enterprises and projects that tackle the climate crisis through improved land management.
Adam has spent his career designing and implementing solutions to climate change and biodiversity loss. Whilst working for leading NGO Rainforest Alliance (2009-12) he pioneered development of the REDD+ space, developing the VCS’s Jurisdictional and Nested REDD+ standard, auditing over 30 REDD+ projects/methodologies and developing REDD+ and sustainable agriculture projects. At PwC’s Sustainability and Climate Change practice Adam advised some of the UK’s largest companies on their landuse/deforestation strategy and helped the Government of Guyana unlock $50m of performance-based payments from Norway. For eight years, as Chief Technical Officer and Investment Director at Mirova Natural Capital (previously known as Althelia) he helped build one of the world’s foremost natural capital impact investment platforms. Transactions he structured and executed have provided positive returns and significant quantified impact for public and private sector investors.
Since 2013 Adam has been advising AXA on natural capital investments AXA were an LP in MNC’s first fund, the Althelia Climate Fund, and following this Adam led a private mandate advising AXA on transactions from their Climate and Biodiversity Fund.

Adam has an BSc in Natural Sciences from Durham University and an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from Oxford University. He is a VERRA approved AFOLU Methodology Expert and sits on VERRA’s JNR advisory and Innovation advisory panels.
